Saya (scabbard): blade lacquered in glossary finish, On the saya it has a picture of a dragon and tiger. To the Chinese the dragon is a mythological symbol standing for immortality, power, strength, happiness, activity and fertility. To the Chinese the tiger is symbolic for courage and bravery.
